TOP NOTCH!!! That’s the easiest way to explain the experience we had with Steve Jessup!!! First of all, I had zero experience with what to expect as I had never needed this type of work done prior. Our basement suffered water damage, like so many others in the area, from the tropical storm that came thru in August...a mere 10 days AFTER we moved in to our new home. Reaching out to contractors and clean-up/restoration services is no enviable task, as so many are looking to get as much from you as possible. Unfortunately, this time my dealings with them was the worst it’s ever been! Most calls/visits start off real nice and caring-like, but as soon as they learn what your needs are, and the circumstances surrounding your predicament, the teeth come out. I even had a restoration company call the night before they were scheduled to start,in an attempt to find out if my insurance coma-any was involved, and if they could guarantee coverage. Further, they increased the price and tried to pressure me to sign a contract indicating that I would pay more than what was originally quoted. Drywall contractor came in and quoted very high, despite my not knowing what to expect, I did know that his price was way too high, especially when he listed the painting of my basement at $1800!! Basement?? 630 sq ft for $1800??!! PLUS, this guy wanted 75% of the job up front as a deposit!!! 👎🏽😡😡👊🏽👊🏽✌🏽Then I called Steve, who came in, polite, professional and personable...3 traits lost in this era of service-less customer service and relations. This alone was a huge, and probably the deciding factor in my decision to go with Jessup. After negative experiences with the realtor who rep’d us for buying and selling our properties, and with contractors and clean-up crews, I was certainly weary and leery of any contractor at this point, feeling as if I were under attack for my checkbook and expected to just “eat what was on the menu” if I wanted my finished basement and office back. Then, his quote easily bested the other contractor I had called!!! 👍🏽👍🏽👌🏾Steve worked with my schedule and started when he said he would be able to. Every person who worked with Steve entered my home with the same level of professionalism and concern for my property and environment, wearing masks and keeping social distance in mind. Upon completion, Steve made sure I was satisfied with the experience and remained true to the price I was quoted. AWESOME!!! I wish Steve did everything a homeowner would need to have done cuz I wouldn’t want to call anyone else. He even suggested that if I needed work done that he was unable to do, that he would refer someone reputable that could do it. If that time comes, and it likely will, I have the utmost confidence that whomever Steve recommends will be TOP NOTCH as well. If you have drywall needs, don’t waste your time looking around...just call STEVE JESSUP and prepare to have your space renewed to perfection with zero hassle, great quality work by a quality individual and company.
